Steiff - 2-piece Vintage Robben/Seehunde 'Robby' (Big & Small) - 1950s/1960s

For sale is a beautiful, together-within-set pair of two original vintage Steiff seals 'Robby' (one large and one small version), produced around the 1950s to 1960s. A perfect pair for any discerning Steiff collection.
Details Large seal: Made from short-pile plush/velour with the characteristic airbrush patterning. It features the original Steiff metal button in the rear fin (script engraving with the long 'f'). The delicate original long whiskers are excellently preserved. (Length approx. 10-12 cm).
Details Small seal: The smaller version in a matching design, also made from fine plush/velour, with a bold, darker airbrush shading. Here too the fine whiskers and the embroidered facial details are wonderfully preserved. Identification: The large seal bears the original button (without flag). The small seal comes without ID.
Condition: Both animals are in very nice, age-appropriate vintage condition with authentic patina. No holes, no open seams, very well maintained.
