Cushion 1: made with Pierre Frey fabrics from the Braquenie collection, on the front the fabric "Les rivieres de l'indus" (ref. B7667001 - Jouy), printed with block printing technique by the Manufacture Royale d'Oberkampf around 1791; this motif is better known as the Chinese Nesting Pattern. It consists of decorative elements found at the base of the Tree of Life motifs in Indian art, and the back fabric is Pierre Frey "Palais des vents" (ref.
