Antique Lombard two-wheeled carriage dating to circa 1900–1910, in wood with steel fittings, about 310 cm long, 130 cm wide and 110 cm high, with single hitch and in good condition.

IMPORTANT LOMBARD-ERA TWO-WHEELED CARRIAGE
From the Private Collection of the Agusta Family – Cascina Costa (VA)
Elegant and authentic two-wheeled carriage for leisure rides from the early decades of the 20th century (circa 1910-1930), belonging to a prestigious private collection in the province of Varese.
The piece was recovered in the early 2000s at the historic Cascina Costa stables (Varese), a locality linked to the historic Agusta family, and comes from the private collection of Count Rochi Agusta, where it had remained for many years.
It is a rare testimony to the Lombard carriage-building tradition, come down to us in preservation conditions of particular interest and subsequently the subject of careful conservation work.
The carriage features a refined wooden and steel framework with harmonious and elegant lines, typical of leisure carriages used by the Lombard bourgeoisie and aristocracy in the early 20th century.
Among the characteristic elements:
- sturdy wooden-spoke wheels;
- multiple-leaf steel suspensions;
- original chassis with period hardware;
- elegant upholstered seat covered in burgundy color;
- backrest with metal side protections;
- wooden floor;
- side lanterns mounted according to the tradition of leisure carriages;
- single-attachment shafts.
The leaf springs and overall build quality attest to a high standard of manufacture, intended not for agricultural use but for transporting people and for representative carriage rides.
