Contemporary ceramic vase by Martina Corti, handmade in Italy from white clay (argilla) with Saggar decoration, 17 cm high, 20 cm wide, 20 cm deep, approximately 200 g, in never-used condition, dating from 2020+.
Description from the seller
Height: 17 cm
Being handmade artisanal work there may be slight variations in size and color compared to the photos and among different pieces of the same series.
A vase shaped and turned by hand, with rosy tones on a body of white stoneware clay
On the surface of the vase you can notice a floral impression; the effects on the vase are created with salt, sugar and coffee.
The artifact was created using the Saggar process. This technique is characterized by its spectacular and unpredictable aesthetic, and decorations that often take on unique and unrepeatable effects.
The piece was fired in the first firing in a neutral atmosphere for about nine hours at 930°C and subsequently after applying the glaze it was fired in a second firing in a gas kiln at 880°C,
There is nothing toxic or dangerous that could leak out; this vase is for decorative purposes only, do not fill with water inside. Clean with a dry cloth.
Remember, this is not factory-made mass-produced ceramic; each vase is individual. All pieces are entirely hand-modeled, turned and glazed in my studio in Lecco, Italy
