Superb antique travel escritoire dating from the late 19th century (Napoleon III era / Victorian style), in burl walnut veneer with geometric friezes marqueted in exotic woods
• The lid, in marquetry, and the lock are adorned with hexagonal motifs centered by mother-of-pearl plates. The lid opens onto a functional interior comprising 4 storage compartments and a movable section revealing a writing surface and a locking system with a lock (with its key).
• Dimensions: 17 x 34.5 x 23.5 cm
• Condition: very good overall, with a few signs of time consistent with its age (see photos of the few chips on the veneer)
Authentic piece with a beautiful patina, unrestored. An item that is both decorative and practical, ideal for vintage décor, a desk, a collection of antique objects.
