Hand-knotted vintage Beni Mguild rug by the weavers of the Middle Atlas in Morocco. A truly exceptional piece, both for its very large size and for the remarkable density of its design, a rarity at these dimensions.
The background unveils a deep Bordeaux purple, sumptuous and warm, entirely crisscrossed with juxtaposed diamonds. Each compartment houses its own motif—stars, diamonds, rosettes, and Berber symbols—in a profusion of details highlighted with orange, pink, ivory, and saffron. This richness of composition, where no diamond looks exactly like another, testifies to long, meticulous weaving work and genuine mastery. The patina of time unifies the whole in deep, velvety tones, the hallmark of the finest vintage pieces.
With a length of 4.50 meters, it is an opulent rug meant to dress a large living room and bring warmth, depth, and character, in a bohemian, vintage, eclectic, or contemporary interior.
