WMF silver-plated six-piece dresser set from Spain (Castilla y León), dating to 1910–1920 in Art Nouveau style, including a 26 cm diameter, 6 cm high bowl (contour 50 cm) and five boxes (21 cm, 13 cm, 8×6 cm, 8×4 cm, 6×4 cm) in good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
Antique dressing table set (family heirloom). Brand WMF / Germany. Excellent condition. 6 pieces:
- Bowl 26 cm in diameter, 6 cm high, circumference 50 cm. Weight 308 g
- BOX 1: elongated, 21 cm (273 g). It has two holes on the sides for ventilation; toothbrushes were placed there
- BOX 2: 13 cm. 304 g
- BOX 3: 8 cm long x 6 cm high. 265 g
- BOX 4: 8 cm long x 4 cm high. 137 g
- BOX 5: 6 cm long x 4 cm high. 90 g
These were vanity boxes for makeup, creams, with the large bowl used as a jewelry box. The snowflake/star mark was used to indicate that the base metal was "white metal" which was then plated with a layer of pure silver
