Reichert Zetopan fluorescence microscope with Binolux incident fluorescence, a complete Vienna-origin system including HBO lamp and power supply, dating from around 1971, in very good physical condition and not tested functionally.
Description from the seller
Large upright fluorescence research microscope by C. Reichert Optische Werke, Vienna, serial number 341 719, manufactured around 1971 with objectives dating to 1989. This is a complete system: it includes the matching numbered accessory case (No. 341 719), the HBO 200 mercury arc lamp with power supply unit, a low-voltage transformer, and a switching unit for incident-light fluorescence ("Binolux" attachment). The trinocular stand is heavy full-metal construction, as expected from Reichert Vienna.
Included with the system: multiple objectives and oculars, a mechanical cross-stage, camera attachment provisions, and comprehensive original documentation. The provenance is institutional: the system originates from the Department of Radiotherapy at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH Wien), one of Austria's leading university hospitals. This lends the piece both historical interest and traceability.
Complete original documentation including manuals and technical paperwork available.
More photos are available if needed.
Condition: (yet to be tested) — sold as viewed, private sale without warranty, as found in the estate. The stand and accessories are complete and undamaged to visual inspection. The HBO lamp and power supply are present but their functional status is unknown.
Pickup in Vienna strongly preferred due to weight and size. Shipping by freight forwarder possible by prior arrangement at buyer's expense.
