"Black & Gold Edition" of the 2-euro commemorative issues from the coin dealer MDM
Materials of the Black & Gold Edition: These collectibles are based on original 2-euro commemorative coins, which have been retrofitted with high-quality precious metals: Core material: The base is the standard bimetallic alloy of a 2-euro coin (copper-nickel/brass & nickel). Refinement (Black): The coins are fully coated with the rare, intensely dark platinum metal ruthenium. Refinement (Gold): Certain motifs on the coin are highlighted with pure gold (99.99/1000), creating the characteristic contrast of the edition.
Among the collection are the editions Spain (Old Town of Cáceres) and Latvia (100 Years of Latvijas Banka), both refined by this method.

Core material: Often copper-nickel (Cu/Ni) or bronze. Refinement: A fine surface coating of pure silver (999 fine silver) or semi-gold plating. Minting quality: Usually in the high-quality “Polished Plate” (PP) or “Mirror Shine” for a mirror-like background and matte motifs.

Monnaie de Paris album for the 2-euro commemorative coins of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. The album is specifically designed to store the Coincards (coin cards) of the years 2021 to 2024. The collection comprises a total of 20 different coin cards, which were released annually to celebrate the event.
Purpose: It was specifically developed for the storage and presentation of 20 different 2-euro commemorative coins in Coincards (proof / BU).

The 2-euro coin collection is part of the "Black & Gold Edition" and includes official commemorative coins from various member states. The coins are gold-plated and refined with black ruthenium, giving them a distinctive appearance. Official certificates are included in the package, confirming authenticity and technical data such as material and weight.

The collection includes various 2-euro commemorative coins, including examples from Germany for German reunification. Also depicted is a coin from Monaco, which can be particularly valuable to collectors.
Middle bottom: 2-euro commemorative coin "35 Years of German Unity" (year of issue 2025). It features the striking inscriptions "35 YEARS OF GERMAN UNITY" as well as the historic motto "WE ARE ONE PEOPLE".
Middle top: 2-euro commemorative coin "Thuringia" (year of issue 2022). It shows the UNESCO World Heritage Wartburg near Eisenach. In the left area, the inscription "100 YEARS OF FREE STATE OF THURINGIA" is also engraved.
Top right: 2-euro commemorative coin "Hamburg – Elbphilharmonie" (year of issue 2023). It depicts the modern concert hall against the silhouette of the Port of Hamburg. Top left: 2-euro commemorative coin "Charlemagne" (year of issue 2023). This motif combines the emperor's personal monogram with the octagon of the Aachen Cathedral.
Bottom left: A Euro circulation coin with a head profile in the center, which is the standard coin portrait of one of the European member states (for example the portrait of the King of the Belgians or the profile of King Philippe).
Bottom left: An older, smaller circulating coin (not euro) with a depiction reminiscent of a historic sailing ship (such as a cog or galleon).
