Excellent late 19th-century Portuguese silver cane - Wood and 0.925 Silver
The 'hook' or closed curve shape is emblematic of elegant walking canes from the early 1880s–1900s. This is an antique walking cane featuring a repoussé silver handle with floral motifs. The curved, swan-neck-shaped grip is mounted on a noble wooden shaft. It has a textured or chiseled finish on the handle with repoussé details of flowers and scrolls. On the back there are the initials VMC engraved. This type of gentleman's accessory is characteristic of the 19th century.

La forma de "gancho" o curva cerrada es emblemática de los bastones de paseo elegantes de principios de 1880-1900. Se trata de un bastón antiguo de paseo que cuenta con un mango de plata repujada con motivos florales. La empuñadura curvada en forma de cuello de cisne está montada sobre una vara de madera noble. Cuenta con un acabado texturizado o cincelado en la empuñadura con detalles repujados de flores y volutas. En el lomo tiene grabadas las siglas VMC. .Este tipo de accesorio de caballero es característico del siglo XIX.
