Description from the seller

Pharmacy vase "Scavo" in artistic Murano glass – 1970s

Important pharmacy vase entirely handmade in Murano in the seventies, characterized by the evocative excavated effect technique, which gives the glass the subtle and refined charm of ancient artifacts safeguarded over time.

The intense cobalt blue color, enriched by delicate purplish tints on the lid, creates an elegant contrast with the precious hand-made gold decorations that adorn the surface with ornamental motifs inspired by classical tradition. The lemon-shaped knob, handcrafted, adds another detail of value and originality.

Each vase arises from the skill and flair of the Murano glass masters: slight variations in glass shades, in the distribution of decorations, or in surface finishes should be considered a natural consequence of manual craftsmanship and attest to its authenticity.

Thanks to its strong visual presence and the richness of decorative details, this vase represents a refined collectible object and a prestigious furnishing accessory, capable of enhancing both classic and contemporary environments.

Dimensions: approximately 40 × 14 cm
Era: 1970s
Material: artistic Murano glass
Finish: excavated effect with hand-made gold decorations
Craftsmanship: entirely handmade by Murano glass masters
Use: decorative and high-value collectible item.

Seller's Story

I was born and raised on the island of Murano, where glass is not simply a material, but a tradition that is lived every day. Since childhood I breathed in the warmth of the furnaces and watched the master glassmakers transform incandescent matter into shapes, colors and light. C growing up in Murano means learning early to recognize the value of true artistic glass: weight, transparency, murrine, the small imperfections that make each piece unique. This knowledge, developed in a family and artisanal setting, today allows me to select only authentic works, handmade on the island according to traditional techniques. Each creation I present – vases, sculptures, decorative objects and lamps – is born from entirely manual work, without industrial molds. Color, shape and texture variations are not defects, but the signature of the artisan who made each single piece. All works come with a certificate of authenticity, guaranteeing their origin and quality. My objective is to offer not mere objects, but authentic fragments of Murano’s history, destined to endure over time and to bring into my clients’ homes the beauty and value of Venetian craftsmanship.
