Description from the seller
Beautiful and elegant round brass blaker, handcrafted and professionally made by a coppersmith.
This blaker was manufactured in the Netherlands or Belgium and can be dated to around 1800-1850.
The candle holder has a socket hole; this is milled to enable removing the candle stubs with a pin.
In view of its age and history of use, it is in good condition with small signs of wear appropriate to its use and age.
This is a decorative item suitable for mood lighting in your interior, but the blaker can also be useful during a power outage.
Blakers were used in the past to find the way to the bedroom in the dark because there was no electricity yet.
Dimensions: length including the ear handle 17.2 cm, diameter 14.3 cm and height 4.2 cm.
Carefully packed and sent by registered mail with track and trace.
