Antique solid walnut sewing table from the Empire period, characterized by sober and elegant lines typical of the early decades of the 19th century.
The lift-top rectangular top conceals a spacious internal storage compartment, originally designed to hold sewing tools and accessories. The interior preserves a beautiful light wood tone, in contrast to the darker, lived-in patina of the exterior.
The front band is embellished with a drawer featuring a central brass knob. The piece rests on four turned legs with brass elements and a shaped base, joined by a central crossbar that ensures stability and solidity.
