Description/Description: The small secretaire cabinet, rare for its small and well-proportioned dimensions, finished with a careful choice of marquetry in bois de rose on an oak body, wonderfully expresses the elegance of eclectic furniture from the second half of the 19th century, inspired by the straight neoclassical line and by the bi-chromes of the late 18th-century Louis XVI style.

In the lower part, beneath the fall-front, there are three drawers that, in addition to the construction quality, confer on the piece an aspect of functionality not easily found in such compact dimensions.

Condition/Erhaltungszustand: very good; the shellac lacquer polishing is contrasted and offers a soft patina to the touch; at present there are no xylophagous insects.
