Description from the seller
Rare ICA Reflex Type 756 with C.P. Goerz Dogmar 150 mm f/4.5 Lens (ca. 1910–1920)
For sale is a rare and collectible ICA Reflex Type 756, an early German camera with a reflex plate design from Internationale Camera Actiengesellschaft (ICA), Dresden, dating from the period before its incorporation into Zeiss Ikon in 1926.
The camera features a classic wooden body with leather covering, bellows extension, and a light-shaft viewfinder. It is equipped with a C.P. Goerz Berlin Dogmar 1:4.5 f = 150 mm lens and a focal-plane shutter (Rapid E.R.) with speeds roughly from 1/11 to 1/1000 second.
Condition
Lens clear and in very good condition for its age.
Bellows without obvious significant damage.
Shutter, winding mechanism, and mechanical cable release operate smoothly.
The camera has only been mechanically tested, not shot with film.
The mirror shows age-related wear and noticeable aging and should be replaced for photographic use if necessary.
Authentic patina and age-related signs of use present.
The light shaft/viewfinder has been restored and reinforced.
Included in delivery
Original leather case with shoulder strap
Plate holder
Film cassette
Mechanical cable release
Carl Zeiss Jena Distar 2×51 auxiliary lens in original case
An attractive and largely complete set for collectors of historic cameras, early reflex technology, and German precision optics.
We have attempted to photograph the camera from several angles and under different lighting to present condition, details, and degree of preservation as realistically as possible. The images are part of the description.
Sale as a collector’s item without any guarantee of photographic function. Worldwide, carefully packed and insured shipping.
