Sankyo dualux-1000 Film projector

Vintage Sankyo Dualux-1000 cinema projector, manufactured in Japan in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s.
Double format: it is compatible with both Super 8 and Regular 8 (standard eight millimeter) films.
Format switching is easily done with the red lever located at the front. Variable speed control: it features an adjustable rheostat to modify frames per second (normally between 14 and 22 fps). This feature is highly valued today for telecine, as it allows synchronizing the projector with modern video cameras to digitize old home movies without flicker.
Audio: It is a strictly silent model (does not reproduce sound).
Optics: it incorporates a Sankyo Zoom lens f:1.4 / F:15–25 mm.

Antique chemical film splicer Eumig Chemo Splicer Z01 for the Super 8 format, manufactured in Austria in the 1970s.
Function: It was used to cut and join with precision segments of Super 8 film during editing or repair.
Joining method: It is a “chemical” (or chemo) system. Instead of adhesive tape, it used a special liquid cement or solvent (usually composed of methylene chloride) that slightly melted the edges of the film to fuse them into a permanent joint.
Mechanism: It has metal guides with pivots to align the film perforations, internal scrapers, and an upper pressure arm that holds the ends together while the film cement dries.
