The story goes that, while the Baroness of Rothschild was strolling through her garden in Salzburg, she lost her diamond necklace and was very sad. A few days later, a gardener came to the palace, with the necklace in his hand, and told her that he had found it while birds were playing with it. In that moment, the baroness decided to commission this dinnerware where all the birds, in a group, play with the diamond necklace.
