The spring mechanism ensures that the lamp's steel frame can be easily adjusted: the lamp can be set in a wide range of positions and those positions can be held. The first lamp—the Original 1227 Anglepoise—came onto the market in 1935. Since then, a variety of variations have been designed and the collection has been expanded with floor lamps, pendant lamps and wall lamps.
