Märklin field Artillery 8065/3 (Pre-war, ca. 1932)
Description
Rare Märklin field artillery model No. 8065/3, a large and heavy pre-war model that was listed in the Märklin catalog of 1932.
The gun represents a German field artillery piece from World War I and is painted in a military camouflage scheme. Typical are the large spoked wheels, the shield and the functional mechanism.
The model is made of metal and features:
- functional elevation adjustment
- functional (mechanical) breech
- Märklin embossing on the shield and on the breech (visible depending on preservation state)
Dimensions & Weight
All measurements are taken from two independent auction catalogs (Vectis Auctions):
Total length: approx. 35 cm
Width: approx. 14 cm
Height (to top of shield): approx. 16 cm
Barrel length: approx. 19 cm
Wheel diameter: approx. 10 cm
