AsZoisite Tanzanite crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system and typically develops transparent, prismatic to columnar crystals that can reach several centimeters in length and display a glassy luster on their surfaces. The cleavage planes, on the other hand, tend to have a pearly sheen.
