Description from the seller

Exceptional and rare pair of two-piece corner cabinets (angle furniture in two stacked parts) in Louis XV style.

Designed in solid oak of superb cabinetry quality, these two pieces form a perfect pair, ideal for symmetrically furnishing the corners of a dining room or living room.

Upper part (The tall sideboard / Corner display cabinet)

Front: Each cabinet opens with a curved glass door in a gunboat (chapeau de gendarme) shape on its upper section, perfectly following the lines of the moulded cornice.

Interior: The glass space offers three levels of display thanks to sturdy oak corner shelves, perfect for showcasing collectibles, crystal, or tableware.

Sculptures: The upper crosspiece under the cornice is richly carved with vegetal motif friezes and raised baroque scrolls.

Lower part (The lower corner sideboard)

Drawer: In the belt, each piece features a large curved corner drawer, adorned with fine foliate carvings and equipped with a pair of original hanging bronze handles with chased decoration.

Solid door: The lower part opens with a solid door whose central panel is richly carved in bas-relief with a suspended floral medallion and stylized cartouches, in perfect harmony with the rest of the dining room ensemble.

Pedestals and Features
The lower crosspiece is shaped (chantournée) and centered by a perforated shell carving.
Each piece rests at the front on curved legs (deer‑leg legs) ending in a rolled volute.

Logistics: The upper parts separate from the lower parts (two-piece furniture), which greatly facilitates transport and installation. Very good overall condition, sound wood and superb patina.
