*Physical & Biological Properties: Unlike typical geological crystals, yellow coral (often found as fossilised coral or deep-sea variants) is an organic material made of calcium carbonate secreted by tiny marine organisms.
*Structure: It is highly porous, segmented, and resembles a sponge. It often features light yellow or brown keratinous nodes.
*Hardness: It is relatively soft and delicate on the Mohs hardness scale, registering between 3.5 and 4.0, which requires careful handling to prevent scratching.
