Vintage carved panel by Nino Gobbis for Arreda di Celotto in Veneto, Italy, made in Legno dolce, dating to 1950–1960, 78 cm high by 37 cm wide, 1 cm deep, weighing 2 g, in very good condition with light signs of wear and age.

Vintage panel used in 1950s furniture. In particular this panel is part of a series of carved panels that were also used as printing matrices for decoration. The panel was carved by Nino Gobbis. Made of faesite, it has never been used but bears the marks of its 70 years.
Panel carved in faesite by Nino Gobbis for the Arreda di Celotto furniture workshop (Montebelluna, Treviso). The panels had an ornamental purpose for 1950s furniture; in particular the furniture from Arreda di Celotto was considered a must-have. The furniture workshop collaborated with very important architects, including Piero Celotto, Carlo Scarpa, and the studio Tobia and Afra Scarpa. The panels were also used as printing matrices for other panels.
