This impressive gold issue weighs 4.34 grams and has been professionally authenticated and graded by NGC Ancients as XF (Extremely Fine).
Obverse: Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Emperor Marcian facing right, surrounded by the imperial legend.
Reverse: Victory standing facing, holding a long cross, symbolizing the triumph of Christianity and imperial authority.
