Magnificent sculpture in glossy flashed-glaze faience of the Flammé type depicting a German Shepherd dog and signed on the back right "E. Rouff"; this sculpture fits perfectly within the Art Deco period of the 1930s.
The enameling work is remarkable, blending shades of turquoise blue, emerald green, and dark olive green, with drips and darker areas (almost black) that highlight the reliefs of the animal's coat and the texture of the rectangular terrace.
This type of glaze gives the piece a moving and very luminous appearance.

Le travail des émaux est remarquable , mêlant des nuances de bleu turquoise, de vert émeraude et de vert olive foncé , avec des effets de coulures et des zones plus sombres ( presque noires) qui viennent souligner les reliefs du pelage de l'animal et la texture de la terrasse rectangulaire. 
Ce type d'émail donne un aspect mouvant et très lumineux à la pièce.
