Vintage Bang & Olufsen Beocord Traad Magnetic Recording Wire Spool, Late 1940s–Early 1950s
Rare original spool of high-quality magnetic steel wire ("Traad") in its period box for Bang & Olufsen's early Beocord wire recorder. Produced in Struer, Denmark, this is a genuine piece of audio history from the brief post-WWII era when wire recording was cutting-edge technology before magnetic tape took over. The outer box features the classic B&O logo and "BANG & OLUFSEN A/S STRUER – Beocord Traad." The metal spool is marked "GILBY WIRE S.A. TOPHET M" with Danish guarantee text stating the wire is guaranteed unbreakable and correctly spooled for B&O recorders. Excellent vintage condition with expected patina and wear for its age.
