AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

‘Les Sirenes’ is a very inspiring Art Deco frosted glass bowl, inspired by Lalique. The graceful swimming mermaids that form a dynamic swirl around small bubbles are truly mesmerizing. The abstract bubbles amplify the dynamism and depth of the design.

The iconic ‘Naiaden-motief’ is characteristic of the Art Deco/Art Nouveau style of the 1920s-1930s. Made of colored opalescent glass. The female figures are beautifully tangible on the underside, rendered in three dimensions as if you could see them swimming. Depending on the light, the glass shifts from cool morning gray to warm green. The combination of frosted glass and the opalescent shine creates a magical effect on a sunlit table or in a lit display cabinet. In handsome condition, with a blown air bubble and with only small, invisible but perceptible signs of use that suit the age.
