Appearance:
Vintage cosmetic wear consistent with age. The chrome top plate shows light age spots / patina (typical for PEN EE-3 bodies). The black leatherette body covering is intact with no peeling. The selenium cell window (ring around the lens) is clean. No major dents or serious damage.

Function:
35mm half-frame camera (24 × 18 mm format, 72 exposures per 36-exp roll) with program automatic exposure controlled by a selenium photoelectric cell. Two-speed shutter (1/40 s and 1/200 s) automatically selected by the meter.

Optical system (lens):
D.Zuiko 28mm 1:3.5 — a sharp fixed-focus 28mm lens, which gives an angle of view equivalent to roughly 40mm on a full-frame 35mm camera. The front element is clean with no fungus, no haze, no major scratches. A small amount of dust may be present but does not affect image quality.

Notes:
The PEN EE-3 is an ideal first vintage film camera — fully automatic, completely battery-free, and produces twice as many photos per roll as a standard 35mm camera. With the recent half-frame revival (driven by the success of new half-frame models like the Pentax 17 and Kodak Ektar H35), original Olympus PEN cameras have become highly sought after by film enthusiasts worldwide.
