Mamiya U is a compact 35 mm film point‑and‑shoot camera by Mamiya, in good physical condition and with functional condition tested and working, serial number 2081646, dating from circa 1980–1990.

The Mamiya U is a compact 35mm film point-and-shoot camera released in 1981 by the Japanese manufacturer Mamiya. It is one of the few ultra-compact cameras from this brand. The camera is known for its sharp lens and its quirky, futuristic 1980s design.
The camera offered here is physically in good condition and appears to function correctly. The rubber shutter release has degraded but still works. The flash does not work. The operation is as best described; this is vintage. The camera was not tested with film.
Lens: Mamiya-Sekor 35mm f/2.8 (5 elements in 4 groups), known for excellent sharpness and contrast.
Focus: Zone focusing with 4 settings via pictograms (1m, 1.5m, 3m and infinity).
Exposure: Fully automatic via an SPD sensor, with a shutter speed of 1/8s to 1/500s.
ISO range: Manually adjustable from ISO 25 to ISO 400.
Flash: Built-in, manually retractable pop-up flash.
Power: Operates on two standard AAA batteries.
The camera was not tested with film.
