Original EDF lead plaque dating from the 1960s, a rare industrial identification plate for a high‑voltage transformer station, in good used condition with minor signs of aging and stains, 30 cm high by 20 cm wide.
Description from the seller
Industrial Plate EDF in Solid Lead – 1960s – Extremely Rare
Magnificent original plaque from the old French electricity company Électricité de France (EDF), cast in solid lead and used to identify an electrical high-voltage transformer station.
An authentic piece from the 1960s, with a strong industrial and historical character, featuring raised inscriptions and original identifying compartments. Coming from French electrical infrastructure, it is increasingly difficult to find on the market, especially in preserved and complete condition.
The heavy weight of the lead, the quality of the casting, and the rich patina acquired over more than half a century give it an impressive presence, ideal for industrial heritage collectors, loft decor, themed spaces, museums, or lovers of technical antiques.
Features:
* Original EDF – Électricité de France
* 1960s
* Solid cast lead
* Raised inscriptions and lettering
* Original identification “Ferme de Belchamp”
* Technical reference “R427”
* Rare piece and hard to obtain
* Excellent decorative and collectible item
* Natural period patina
An unusual piece that testifies to the history of French electrification and post-war industrial functional design. A collection item with strong historical, decorative, and patrimonial value.
