Splendid Karabagh (Karabakh) rug from the Caucasus region, characterized by a strong decorative impact thanks to the typical geometric composition on a deep red ground with indigo blue and ivory elements. Karabagh carpets are among the most valued in the Caucasian tradition for their vivid color, large geometric medallions and tribal motifs rich in symbolism.
The piece features an elegant design with three cruciform medallions aligned along the central axis, surrounded by zoomorphic and ornamental motifs typical of Caucasian production. The red-and-blue color combination, highly representative of Karabagh craftsmanship, lends the rug a remarkable visual presence.
