A papal document (an apostolic brief) of Pope Pius IX dated 1871, addressed to Casimiro Gennari, the future cardinal of the Catholic Church. Seals and original handwritten signatures of the period are present.

The document grants authorization for a private chapel (oratory), built and approved according to ecclesiastical norms, to have the Mass celebrated daily by an authorized priest. However, some major feasts are excluded (Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Epiphany, Ascension, Corpus Christi, etc.), in accordance with the canonical practice of the time.
