Silver umbrella components by Emile Puiforcat, made in France, with Minerve first title mark, complete with the end pieces and pommel with poppy flower motifs, in a Fontan Bordeaux case; net silver weight about 45 g, total boxed weight 159.4 g, dimensions 17 cm high by 9.5 cm wide, in good condition with signs of wear.

Splendid Umbrella elements with the Minerva first title hallmark and signed Emile Puiforcat (knife hallmark and letters E-P). Weight in the box: 159.4 grams. Net silver weight: about 45 grams.
This lot is complete with its whale-bone tips, the pommel, and the end ornamented with poppy flowers, all in a case from Fontan Maison in Bordeaux.
Silversmith Emile PUIFORCAT
Founded in 1820 by Emile Puiforcat, Joseph Marie Puiforcat and Baptiste Fuchs.
Emile first struck his maker’s mark in 1857 and it remained unchanged over the years. He was based at 18 Rue Chapon in Paris. The silversmith died in 1883.
