Description from the seller

Pair of silver carnation vases | Chester, England | 1915

A charming pair of silver trumpet vases of British manufacture, made and assayed in Chester in 1915.
Both vases are stamped with the walking lion hallmark (sterling silver), the Chester assay office mark, and the date letter P for the year 1915.
The vases have an elegant trumpet- or lily-shaped form with a wavy, serrated rim at the opening and a sturdy round foot. Although they are not identical. There is a slight difference in height and diameter.
They share the same decorative circular motif on the foot, which clearly marks them as a pair. The foot of the right vase is slightly less smoothly finished, underscoring the authentic handmade character of the piece.
The feet are weighted for extra stability.
