Elegant Napoleonic III-era sewing set, presented in its original case bound in blackened wood, with gilded fillets and a push button. The interior is lined with cream moiré satin.

The set comprises 4 pieces.

A pair of scissors, a punch, a needle case, and a thimble.

The tools are richly ornamented with raised floral motifs, typical of the taste of the Second Empire.

The handles are vermeil, i.e. gilded silver. The punch on the needle case bears a boar’s head, typical of vermeil.
