Description from the seller

Set of six manganese glass liquor goblets, crafted in a geometric style inspired by mid-20th century Art Deco. With their compact proportions and rich faceted decoration, these glasses perfectly illustrate the enduring taste for light play and architecturally inspired motifs inherited from the decorative arts of the 1920s and 1930s.

Each goblet features a cylindro-conical shape slightly flared at the top, resting on a thick multi-faceted base. The body is adorned with a continuous pattern of diamond points and diamond-shaped facets forming a regular, particularly luminous mesh. Under the smooth rim, a frieze of triangular facets provides additional rhythm to the composition. The bases are decorated with a radiating star moulded in the mass, visible through transparency and enhancing the optical effects of the glass. The slight crystalline tint of the material is characteristic of manganese glass used to achieve perfect clarity.

The set is in excellent condition. The six goblets are free from chips, cracks, scratches, or restorations. The reliefs remain sharp, the edges well preserved, and the transparency of the glass intact. Noted only, in one of the glasses, a small black production inclusion in the shape of a drop visible in the material at the base level. This natural characteristic results from the manufacturing process and does not affect the solidity or presentation quality of the set.

This type of glassware attests to the enduring diffusion of the Art Deco vocabulary in European tableware over several decades. The geometric patterns inspired by crystal cutting allowed for particularly striking light effects while retaining the advantages of high-quality pressed glass manufacture. These liqueur goblets perfectly illustrate this pursuit of functional elegance that marked 20th-century glass production.

Average dimensions are:
- Height: 7.4 centimeters,
- Upper diameter: 6.1 centimeters,
- Base diameter: 5.4 centimeters,
- Total weight of the set: 1000 grams.

Each of the six glasses will be carefully packaged and the set will be shipped promptly in secure packaging. In-store pickup and combined delivery are available. The photos are part of the description.
