Vintage ceiling lamp in chrome with five opal glass globes, dimensions 50 by 50 by 94 cm, dating 1950–1960, in good used condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
Spectacular original vintage ceiling light from the 1970s, a perfect example of Space Age design and the mid-century space-age aesthetic.
The fixture stands out for its striking and avant-garde high-gloss chrome tubular steel structure. Its geometric design plays with organic curved lines and dynamic loops that cross each other, creating a visually light yet highly decorative sculptural volume.
The ensemble houses 5 large opaline glass spherical globes (opal fantasy): three arranged in the central horizontal core and two strategically placed along the vertical axis (top and bottom). This arrangement provides a completely homogeneous and three-dimensional light distribution. When lit, the globes diffuse a warm, soft, ambient light that eliminates glare, while the chrome of the structure reflects sparkles, enhancing its futuristic shapes.
An iconic and highly sought-after piece in the retro interior market, ideal for Mid-Century modern living rooms as well as for adding a touch of Italian/Central European design character to contemporary spaces.
