The object features an exceptionally detailed decoration blending cherubs, musical instruments, floral garlands, Rococo ornaments, and a pastoral scene titled The Dénicheur.
The composition bears the signatures:
F. Boucher P. (after François Boucher)
B. Wicker (engraver)
The day and month adjustment knobs are present and functional. The rear easel is preserved.
The quality of workmanship, the richness of the decoration, and the beautiful old patina make it a remarkable desk object or cabinet of curiosities.
