Description from the seller

Grand vase with lid Delft Blue – hand-painted tin-glazed maiolica – H 39 cm – XX century.

Important decorative vase in finely glazed maiolica, hand-painted, made in the style of the famous Delft ceramics. The work stands out for its refined blue decoration on a white background and for the balanced ornamental composition, enriched by elegant floral motifs and by a central reserve depicting a suggestive Dutch-style landscape scene.

A striking feature is the original lid, topped by a roundly modeled parrot, which gives the whole piece a strong decorative presence and a notable aesthetic value.

On the base there are the model number “670” and a blue hand-painted mark. The surface shows a fine and uniform glaze crazing, consistent with the typology and the natural aging of the piece.

Dimensions

* Height: about 39 cm

Conditions

The item is in excellent overall condition, intact and free of breaks or restorations on the main body, which fully preserves its decorative impact and aesthetic quality.

Only a single issue is noted with the lid, which is damaged and subsequently glued. The restoration is visible but stable and does not compromise the overall beauty of the object.

The photographs are an integral part of the description and clearly and transparently show every detail.
