Description from the seller
Pair of DS-159 model armchairs/lounge chairs by De Sede, 2009 – Switzerland
Model: DS-159
Style: Mid-century
Materials: Chrome-plated steel and leather upholstery
Brand: De Sede
Year: 2009
Country of origin: Switzerland
Good condition for its age and use
Dimensions: 72 x 82 x 82 cm

Spectacular pair of DS-159 chairs by the Swiss firm De Sede, with plate. They closely follow the iconic Florence chair design by Florence Knoll for Knoll, a kind of scaled-down translation of the rhythm and proportions of mid-century modern architecture. In the DS-159 chair, you find a chrome-plated steel frame and bright red leather tufted upholstery. The seat and backrest use Sedex foam. Notable for their clean, sober, minimalist lines.
De Sede is one of the most respected names worldwide in luxury furniture design and high-end upholstery. Its international prestige is based on the sophistication of its forms, advanced modular engineering and, above all, an artisanal treatment of leather that is virtually unmatched in the industry. Its history began in 1962, when master Ernst Lüthy opened a small artisanal workshop for upholstery and saddle chair-making in Klingnau, Switzerland.
The firm is renowned for using only hides of the highest quality from cattle raised under optimal conditions in central Europe. The seams, button-tufted padding, technical topstitching, and the assembly of the structures are still done by hand at its Klingnau headquarters.
Today, the brand exports to more than 69 countries and collaborates with both its internal design team and world-class architects. Over the decades, it has also added renowned external partners such as Santiago Calatrava, Mathias Hoffmann, and Gordon Guillaumier.
Shipping of the product will be paid by the buyer according to dimensions, weight, and destination. We will contact you to arrange it and agree on the budget. Shipping costs include professional custom packaging and personalized shipping, with tracking number and warranty. DUE TO THE DIMENSIONS OF THE PIECE, IT IS PREFERRED TO ARRANGE SHIPPING WITH THE BUYER. CURRENT COSTS ARE ESTIMATED.
