Description from the seller
A radical celebration turned into an icon. Official document and representation of the Ferrari F40, presented in 1987 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Maranello brand. Conceived under the direct supervision of Enzo Ferrari, it was the last model developed in the life of the “Commendatore,” and from its birth it was destined to become myth.
The Ferrari F40 was not an evolution; it was a statement. Its design, the work of Pininfarina, embraced an extreme and functional aesthetic: sharp lines, generous air intakes, lightweight panels, and the unmistakable fixed rear wing that defined its silhouette. Every element had a clear purpose: reduce weight, increase aerodynamic load, and maximize performance. There were no luxuries; only an obsession with speed.
Its structure incorporated composite materials such as Kevlar, carbon fiber, and aluminum, advanced technologies for its time. The cockpit, minimalist and almost Spartan, eliminated all the superfluous: simple door panels, absence of carpets, and an atmosphere that recalled more of a race car than a conventional grand tourer.
At the heart of the F40 beat a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of exceeding 470 hp. Paired with a five-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, it offered a visceral, demanding, and absolutely analog driving experience. Power delivery was explosive, the turbo punched with intensity, and every acceleration transmitted a raw, direct feeling, with no electronic aids to soften the character.
It was the first production car to officially reach 320 km/h, a milestone that positioned it as the fastest car in the world at the time. But beyond the figures, the F40 represented a philosophy: lightness, radicality, and mechanical purity.
Today, the Ferrari F40 is one of the most admired and revered supercars in history. A piece that embodies Ferrari’s wildest, most authentic essence, a symbol of an era when passion and engineering merged unfiltered to create machines meant to transcend time.
It comes with a black wooden frame and synthetic glass. Very well wrapped and protected for safe transport until you have it in your hands. External dimensions are 63 x 93 cm and 3 cm in depth.
Large-format print with gallery-quality. Museum-grade canvas paper, 340 g/m2.
FRAME INCLUDED, you will only need to hang it on the wall. Shipped in a wooden box to prevent any impact. See the photos.
We ship worldwide, very well protected via UPS/DHL/FedEx with insurance and shipment tracking, the day after payment. You can visit our profile to see other beautiful Porsche items we have available!
