Antique comb in galalith, ivory-toned, presenting an elegant curved shape with five teeth. The material is identifiable by the fine surface striations, characteristic of galalith.

The central decoration consists of an oval motif in solid silver set with marcasites on a glass background. This element is mounted in a movable way and can pivot on itself while remaining perfectly held.

Work from the first half of the 20th century, typical of high-quality hair accessories of that period.

Peigne ancien en galalithe sculptée, de teinte ivoire, présentant une élégante forme incurvée à cinq dents. La matière est identifiable grâce aux fines stries visibles en surface, caractéristiques de la galalithe.

Le décor central est constitué d’un motif ovale en argent massif serti de marcassites sur fond de verre. Cet élément est monté de manière mobile et peut pivoter sur lui-même tout en restant parfaitement maintenu.

Travail de la première moitié du XXe siècle, typique des accessoires de coiffure de qualité de cette période.
