AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Reward medal of the Morlaix Agricultural Society in solid silver, stamped and marked 'SILVER' on the edge (see photo).

The obverse features an elegant profile of the French Republic wearing a crown composed of ears of corn, leaves and fruits, surrounded by the legend 'French Republic'. The reverse is devoted to agriculture with a high-relief composition showing various livestock and agricultural productions around the inscription 'Société d'Agriculture de Morlaix'.

This medal dates to the first half of the 20th century, probably around 1920-1930. It retains its original patina, deliberately left as is. Its golden hue may evoke an old vermeil or a particularly strong natural patina, with no guarantee on this point.

The reliefs are well defined and the details remain very legible, both on the portrait of the Republic and on the agricultural scene on the reverse.

Weight: about 19.3 g

Diameter: about 3.7 cm

Good vintage condition with signs of use and aging in keeping with the object's age. The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow assessing the condition as well as the quality of the reliefs.
