Description from the seller
Italian Art Nouveau (Stile Liberty) sideboard produced by the Premiata Fabbrica di Mobili Nicolò Casale workshop in Genoa.
Constructed using fine mahogany wood, featuring distinctively rounded outer corners that give the sideboard a soft, fluid profile typical of high-end Genoese craftsmanship.
The two main cabinet doors display vertical, stylized floral or botanical marquetry/inlays
The most striking features are the two beautifully cast dark bronze figural sculptures of putti (cherubs) mounted atop the front corner pillars. They hold up decorative swags and frame the main body, serving as both structural pilasters and artistic focal points.
Features geometric bronze drawer pulls and handles that integrate seamlessly with the wood's grain. The piece is crowned with its original, thick, highly veined red/brown marble top. There is small chip at the corner of the marble top(seen on photos).
There is label stamp marked on the wood top under the marble top.
This paper label identifies a piece of antique Italian furniture crafted by the Premiata Fabbrica di Mobili Nicolò Casale, a respected furniture and upholstery workshop based in Genoa, Italy.
DECORATO DI 3 MEDAGLIE D'ORO (Decorated with 3 Gold Medals), which indicates the factory won major awards for quality and craftsmanship at regional or national exhibitions.
In very good condition with patina and minimal user marks befitting its age (natural wood cracks…)
Please check well the photos.
Presented the moth holes, preferred to be treated.
Dimensions:
width 140cm x height 99cm x depth 60cm
