Description from the seller
From a friend, we don’t know if it works, so it’s sold "as is" or "for parts." We only have the camera as you see in photos, with no battery or charger or anything else. All the buttons seem to work fine, nothing broken at first glance and it accepts digital CF memory cards that slide in and out of their respective slot perfectly. It also accepts SD, which also goes in and out well from its slot. The screen has some signs of use, but nothing serious. The lenses are very clean and you don’t hear anything broken (or loose) when it moves.
The MC500 does not use a Bayer sensor like a modern DSLR. It has:
A dichroic prism (X-cube) that splits light into red, green and blue.
Three independent CCDs, one for each color.
Very precise optical registration (on the order of microns).
This little marvel could take photos up to 5MP and recorded on CF memory cards (and SD).
These are the technical specifications:
Sensor 3 × CCD of 1/4.5", 1.33 MP each
Optical system Dichroic prism + 3CCD
Lens 3.2–32 mm f/1.8–2.4
Optical zoom 10×
35 mm equivalent (video) 46.2–462 mm
Video MPEG-2 up to 720×480/60i
Audio Dolby Digital
Photos Up to 2560×1920 (≈5 MP)
Storage Microdrive, CompactFlash Type II and SD
Screen 1.8" LCD
Weight ~330 g (400 g operational)
Filter thread 37 mm
Good luck with the bids.
