This antique Biedermeier-style mahogany card table from the early 19th century features a rotating, fold-over top with a green baize surface.
Period and Style: This piece is consistent with 19th-century European furniture, specifically Biedermeier or Regency styles.

Construction: It is crafted from mahogany and typically rests on a central column supported by four carved legs.

Beautiful little early 19th.c. mahogany fold over games table c.1850.
Stands against the wall as a console or side table then rotate and fold open the top to make a square table with an unusual patterned green baize centre for cards.
Flame mahogany veneered top, note how the veneers are laid in a symmetrical pattern on the inside. Shaped apron with carved scrolling detail to the front. Raised on a lovely turned column and four legs all carved with acanthus leaf decoration. Mahogany lined compartment below the top for cards, playing chips etc. Need
a small patched repair to the baize or you can use as it is., If you can clean, Polish and wax this gorgeous item it will regain its previous majesty.
