A large paperback notebook with a blue paper cover from the period, containing numerous handwriting exercises with a nib: uppercase alphabets, ornamental letters, numbers, lines of moral sentences and repetitive models, including "The most carefully contrived equivocation equals the grossest lie."
An interesting testimony to the schooling of beautiful handwriting in the 19th century.
Yellowed paper, creases, tears and marginal losses, worn cover, overall fragile but decorative.
