Pre-Columbian Maya Copador ceramic polychrome bowl, ca. 650–900 AD, restored with some surface wear, includes authenticity certificate and Spanish export license, not for sale to US customers.
Description from the seller
Pre-Columbian, Central America, El Salvador, Maya, Copador type, Late Classic Period, ca. 650 to 900 AD. A hand-built pottery bowl of deep form with a planar base, sloped walls, and a thick rim. Highly burnished and decorated with red, orange, and black pigment, the bowl presents a pair of monkeys trying to catch 3 birds. The upper frieze features 8 large glyphs. Old label on the base.
Condition: Some surface wear. Profesionally restored over fracture lines from original fragments.

- Art Dealer - Barcelone.
- Mark Clark, San Francisco, California, prior to 21 July 1993.
- Donald Wonder (1938-2023), California & New Jersey; thence by descent.
Notes:
- The piece includes authenticity certificate.
- The piece will include spanish export license for the European Union.
- If the piece goes outside the European Union a new export license will
be requested by us, This process can take beteen 1 and 2 months.
According to Spanish legislation, items sent outside the European Union
are subject to export taxes and will be added to the invoice, at the
buyer's expense. These export fees are fixed on the final auction price
and the tax rate is not applied directly on the total value of the item
to be exported, but rather the different percentages by sections are
applied to it:
- Up to 6,000 euros: 5%./ From 6.001 to 60.000 euros: 10%.
- This lot can not be sold to US customers.
