Albumen print from the period in very good condition, mounted on a cardboard backing.

Labeled and signed in the negative.

The Neurdein Brothers (Étienne and Antonin Neurdein) were French photographers and publishers active at the end of the 19th century. Based in Paris, they founded in the 1860s a major photographic workshop that quickly became one of the leading publishers of tourist and documentary images. The Neurdein brothers produced and distributed numerous photographs of monuments, towns and landscapes, in France as well as abroad, notably in Egypt, in North Africa and in the Middle East.
