This exquisite piece of contemporary art offers a hypnotic view of the urban landscape of Paris, intertwining the city’s iconic zinc rooftops and the majestic Eiffel Tower with the profound Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi. The composition is characterized by a masterful contrast where the cold, dense palette of nocturnal blues that bathe the city is delicately fractured by veins and filaments of bright gold that delineate the cornices, windows and the tower itself, simulating the gold joins of a porcelain restored. This integration of Kintsugi elevates the Parisian view, suggesting that the enduring beauty of the “City of Light” lies in the living history engraved in its cracks and in its ability to shine with greater splendor over time; crowned by a crescent moon carved with similar golden textures, the piece presents itself as a visually striking jewel of great magnetism and aesthetic sophistication, ideal for the most demanding collectors of modern art.
